About
Dr Rehman Khan (FRCP) is an experienced Consultant Endocrinologist and General Physician at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital, who has been practising since 1980. He provides specialist care in endocrinology, diabetes and general internal medicine, offering expert assessment and management for a wide range of hormonal and metabolic conditions.
Dr Khan’s clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), obesity, and other complex endocrine conditions. He is also experienced in the assessment and treatment of general medical problems, reflecting his dual training in endocrinology and internal medicine.
Dr Khan has been a Consultant Endocrinologist and General Physician at Basildon University Hospital for nearly two decades, where he is also actively involved in teaching. He has been invited to speak on thyroid disease and diabetes at local, national and international meetings.
Dr Khan completed his medical degree at the University of Karachi in 1980 and went on to train in endocrinology and diabetes at University College Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital in London. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London).
Dr Khan is a member of several professional organisations, including Diabetes UK, the British Thyroid Association, and the British Endocrine Society.
