Dr Rajib Samanta is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the University Hospital of Leicester NHS Trust since 2015, Dr Samanta completed medical graduation & post-graduate training in Child-Health in India, Dr Samanta achieved higher specialist training in the UK in Paediatrics & training in Paediatric Neurology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London & National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE) under North London Deanery; had dedicated training & developed a special interest in Complex Epilepsy, Stroke & Neurovascular Disorders and Autoimmune disorders in Children at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Dr Rajib Samanta is a member of the British Paediatric Neurology Association, ILAE British Chapter, Epilepsy Action UK and TREAT-NMD, a network for neuromuscular disorders.
Dr Samanta completed a diploma in “Interpretation of EEG” at European Epilepsy Academy, Germany.
He has several publications in Paediatric Stroke, Neuro-genetic & Mitochondrial disorders in children; he actively contributes to research in Paediatric Epilepsy.
Dr Rajib Samanta manages neurological conditions in infants, children and teenagers up to 18 years of age.
