About
Dr Nadia Gildeh trained at Southampton University medical school and qualified in 2006. She completed training in acute and general medicine, emergency and anaesthetics and completed higher specialty training in respiratory and sleep medicine. She spent 2 years at Guys sleep service, managing a wide range of sleep disorders including complex cases and participating in sleep research and publishing papers on the systemic complications of sleep apnoea. She has completed her respiratory training over 5 years with experience in acute and chronic respiratory disorders and extensive experience in pleural procedures and bronchoscopy. Dr Gildeh has worked as a respiratory and sleep consultant at Whipps Cross Hospital, Barts Health since 2021. She is the clinical lead for the respiratory and sleep service as well as for postgraduate education. She has set up services for acute respiratory failure linking up with St Barts ventilation service. She is active in education and regularly teaches resident doctors, medical students and GPs. She also manages general respiratory patients with a range of simple and complex respiratory disorders in outpatients and on the respiratory wards. She is trained in General Internal Medicine and partakes in the general medical on-call managing a wide range of medical disorders
