About
Dr Nadia Gildeh is an experienced Consultant in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic respiratory disorders and the full spectrum of sleep‑related conditions. She practises at Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, where she is the Clinical Lead for Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and Lead for Postgraduate Education.
Dr Gildeh trained at Southampton University Medical School, qualifying in 2006, before completing broad-based training in acute and general medicine, emergency medicine and anaesthetics. She went on to complete higher specialty training in Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Medicine, including two years at the renowned Guy’s Hospital Sleep Service, where she managed complex sleep disorders and contributed to published research on the systemic complications of sleep apnoea.
She has extensive experience in pleural procedures, bronchoscopy, and the management of acute respiratory failure, having established new pathways linking Whipps Cross with the St Bartholomew’s ventilation service. Dr Gildeh also provides comprehensive outpatient care for patients with both simple and complex respiratory conditions.
Alongside her clinical work, she is deeply committed to medical education, regularly teaching resident doctors, medical students and GPs.
