About

Dr Shahid is a Consultant Cardiologist at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in advanced cardiac imaging for precise diagnosis and evidence‑based treatment planning. He is highly experienced in multimodality imaging, including Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, and advanced echocardiography techniques such as 3D transthoracic echo, transoesophageal echo (TOE), contrast echo, and stress echo.

He provides expert assessment and screening for a wide range of cardiac conditions, including valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, coronary heart disease, hypertension, heart failure, and syncope. His imaging‑led approach supports accurate diagnosis, tailored therapy, and integrated cardiology care.
