About

Mr Mohamed Otify is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon. He leads the Gynaecological Oncology service at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading robotic surgeons for complex gynaecological procedures.

Mr Otify specialises in the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of a wide range of gynaecological conditions. These include fibroids, endometriosis, polycystic ovaries (PCOS), congenital uterine anomalies, abnormal vaginal bleeding (such as heavy or irregular periods), and chronic pelvic pain.

As an expert in gynaecological cancer care, he provides comprehensive screening, diagnosis and surgical treatment for cervical, ovarian, uterine (womb) and vulval cancers. He is highly skilled in performing complex procedures using advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgical techniques, ensuring the best possible outcomes for his patients.

After qualifying in obstetrics and gynaecology, Mr Otify was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2010. He continued his specialist training in London and Edinburgh, and completed a prestigious subspecialty fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology Surgery at St James’s University Hospital in Leeds. He is accredited by the General Medical Council as a dual specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology.

Mr Otify further developed his minimally invasive surgical expertise by earning a Diploma in Gynaecological Endoscopy from the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery in Leuven, Belgium.

He is actively involved in research, teaching and training. He supervises trainees, examines for professional bodies, and has published extensively in the field of gynaecological oncology. Mr Otify regularly presents at national and international conferences, and is known for his commitment to improving patient outcomes, innovation in women’s health and collaborative multidisciplinary care.
