Dr Auth is a senior consultant in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, and is an Honorary Associate Professor of the University of Liverpool.
For the recent 20 years he has been the leading gastroenterology consultant at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust in various clinical leadership roles, research, and education and has an outstanding reputation for his dedicated specialist care for infants, children and young people with complex abdominal, digestive and nutritional conditions.
He is widely regarded as a national and European expert, contributing to clinical guidelines, national audits and international working groups. With more than 100 peer reviewed publications in world leading medical journals and hundreds of invited presentations, he is one of the most experienced paediatric gastroenterologists in the country.

- 24 hour pH and impedance studies for reflux assessment
- Interpretation of ultrasound, CT and MRI
- Manometry for motility disorders.
