Dr Khalid Khan is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist and General Physician, offering comprehensive assessment and treatment for the full spectrum of heart conditions.
He has expertise in heart disease, arrhythmias and cardiovascular risk.
Education and experience
Educated at St John’s College, Cambridge, he completed early medical training in Newcastle and Cambridgeshire, followed by advanced cardiology training in Leicester, where he was awarded a prestigious British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology.
He completed senior specialist training in Liverpool, achieving dual accreditation in Cardiology and General Medicine, and has been a Consultant Cardiologist since 2005.
In his NHS career, Dr Khan has developed several award‑winning, pioneering cardiology services, reflecting his commitment to innovation, quality, and patient‑centred care.
Teaching and leadership
An Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University since 2009, Dr Khan is deeply committed to the education of medical students, junior doctors, and allied health professionals. His academic background strengthens his evidence‑based approach to diagnosis and treatment.
