About
Dr Majumdar graduated in India in 2001 and completed her full post-graduate training in the UK. She has held the post of a substantive NHS consultant since 2015, and as part of this, she has held several leadership roles, including clinical lead for her department. Most recently, she was nominated as a finalist in the HSJ Patient Safety Awards (Virtual or remote care category).
Her clinical role encompasses assessing and managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes. She is proficient in newly emerging diabetes technologies, including glucose sensors, and is the clinical lead for the insulin pump service at Whipps Cross Hospital.
As an endocrinologist, she treats the full spectrum of endocrine presentations, including, but not limited to, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, adrenal pathology, pituitary dysfunction, endocrine hypertension, and metabolic syndrome. She does not currently offer treatments for endocrine cancers or obesity and does not run a fertility service.
