Dr Kalpita Majumdar

Dr Kalpita Majumdar is an experienced Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology, practising at The Holly Hospital, part of Nuffield Health. She completed her medical degree in India in 2001 before undertaking full postgraduate training in the UK. She has been a substantive NHS consultant since 2015, holding several senior leadership roles, including Clinical Lead for her department at Whipps Cross University Hospital.

She was recently recognised as a finalist in the HSJ Patient Safety Awards (Virtual or Remote Care category), reflecting her commitment to safe, innovative and patient‑centred care.

Clinical Expertise

Dr Majumdar provides specialist assessment and management for a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions, including:

• Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
  
• Thyroid and parathyroid disorders
  
• Adrenal disorders
  
• Pituitary dysfunction
  
• Endocrine hypertension
  
• Metabolic syndrome
  

She is highly experienced in new and emerging diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump therapy, and is the clinical lead for the insulin pump service at Whipps Cross Hospital.

Please note: Dr Majumdar does not currently offer treatment for endocrine cancers, obesity, or fertility‑related endocrine issues.
