Previously a Consultant at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark, Dr Joshi is now a Consultant Cardiologist at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital.
Trained in all aspects of General Cardiology, he has a specialist interest in the treatment of angina and complex coronary artery disease including chronic total occlusion PCI.
Committed to providing personalised care, Dr Joshi sees patients for investigation and treatment of chest pains, breathlessness, palpitations or a sense of a racing heart, and dizzyness or collapse. He also sees patients with symptoms suggestive of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
Education
Dr Joshi obtained his medical degree in London. He trained in Cardiology in Cambridge and during this period was awarded a PhD for research in the field of non-invasive imaging of atherosclerosis.
Teaching and research
He runs courses, is an invited speaker at international meetings and trains other senior doctors in this advanced aspect of cardiovascular care.
He remains
active in the research arena, with ongoing work into better treatments for
acute heart attacks, as well as intravascular imaging and the treatment of
coronary artery calcification.
