About
Dr Watson completed her training in the West of Scotland, specialising in major gynaecology surgery (open, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) and gynaecology ultrasound.
As an NHS Consultant Gynaecologist, she has regular NHS clinics and a range of theatre lists performing a high volume of cases ranging in complexity.
Dr Watson is experienced at utilising minimally invasive techniques to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. Providing compassionate, supportive, individualised, patient focused care – that she would be pleased for her friends or family to receive – is fundamental to her.
She co-led establishment of the NHSGGC Same Day Gynaecology Pathway improving access to high quality, minimally invasive major surgery and is the current NHS GGC Gynaecology Theatre Optimisation Lead.
Dr Watson presents regularly at national and international conferences and has completed additional advanced training in the medical and surgical management of endometriosis, including excision of endometriosis and ureterolysis. She has a particular interest in menstrual and hormonal problems and in treatment of Caesarean Scar niches.
She is also a keen educator, supporting the next generation of surgeons as faculty for several practical surgical skills courses and is the RCOG E-learning Lead for Surgical and Postoperative Care

Personal interests
Dr Watson is a mother of three and keen sailor off the west coast of Scotland and occasionally further afield. In a rare quiet moment she enjoys a good book.
