About
Dr Adamson qualified from St Mary’s Medical School, Imperial College, London in 1993. She did her cardiology training at St Mary’s, the Royal Brompton and the Hammersmith Hospital and was awarded an Interventional Fellowship at the Hammersmith Hospital.
Dr Adamson now practices intervention at UHCW and is part of a large primary angioplasty service. She has sat on faculty at British Interventional meetings and currently has a role as a trainer for junior cardiologists. Whilst training in angioplasty, Dr Adamson spent one day a week at Queen Charlotte's Hospital training and later developing an obstetric cardiology service. This has led her to gain national and international recognition within the field of obstetric cardiology and she has recently written the Oxford Handbook on the subject.
Other interests
The management of coronary disease and in particular, complex coronary intervention including complete occlusions, bifurcation disease and acute coronary syndromes.
Dr Adamson also specializes in the management of women who are or want to become pregnant with known or suspected heart disease.

Wine, diving and keeping chickens and ducks!

Dr Adamson has just finished writing the Oxford Handbook of Obstetric Cardiology and has written chapters in four other international text books.
She is currently primary investigator for four interventional and post infarct trials as well as being sub-investigator in a further 2.
She has 20 peer-reviewed papers and has spoken at many national and international conferences.
