Dr Asad Ali is a Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine, specialising in sleep disorders, complex breathing conditions, and lung health. After completing his specialist training in the West Midlands, he undertook advanced training in sleep medicine and non-invasive ventilation, earning European qualifications as a certified sleep expert.

If you are suffering from persistent breathlessness, an unexplained chronic cough, or chest discomfort, Dr Ali provides thorough investigations to find the root cause. He regularly treats patients with long-term respiratory illnesses such as Asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), as well as complex conditions like lung cancer, pleural disease, and pleural effusions (fluid on the lungs).

As an accredited sleep specialist, Dr Ali offers expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of sleep problems. If you or a partner are struggling with heavy snoring, waking up gasping for air, or severe daytime tiredness, he can investigate for both obstructive and central sleep apnoea. He also manages complex sleep behaviours, including sleepwalking, sleep talking and narcolepsy, and provides specialist home ventilator support for patients suffering from respiratory failure.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Ali is a dedicated researcher, leading and participating in clinical trials to advance respiratory medicine. He also serves as a regional supervisor, teacher, and clinical trainer for the next generation of medical professionals.
