About
Dr Arun Kurup joined the Gastroenterology department of University Hospitals of North Midlands in 2016. He completed his specialty training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine in the West Midlands. On completion of training, he undertook a year of fellowship in advanced endoscopy at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.
His areas of expertise include endoscopic management of colorectal polyps and small bowel enteroscopy. As clinical lead for the capsule endoscopy service, he was instrumental in introducing colon capsule within the trust. His other interests include Inflammatory bowel disease, dyspepsia and teaching.
