Dr MacDonald is a graduate of Glasgow University Medical School, qualifying in 1999, after completing an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Psychology at University College London. Her Dermatology training was undertaken in the West of Scotland rotation, covering all aspects of dermatology, and included advanced training in McGill University, Montreal (2005) and the National Institutes of Health, Washington DC (2007).
Dr MacDonald was appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist in 2011 and has worked between Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill Hospital ever since. In addition to providing care in all aspects of adult dermatology and skin cancer, Dr MacDonald has established and developed the Regional Severe Eczema clinic, providing new biologic treatments where indicated.
