About
Dr Fahim completed his undergraduate education in 2001 and undertook basic medical training in the West Midlands. Dr Fahim completed his higher specialist training in Yorkshire including a period of dedicated research leading to a doctorate from the University of Hull.
In addition to general respiratory disorders, Dr Fahim has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of interstitial lung diseases (ILD) and is currently the lead for ILD service at Heart and Lung Centre, New Cross Hospital. Dr Fahim also has a special interest in the management of patients with chronic cough and airway diseases including chronic asthma, COPD and bronchiectasis.

Research
Dr Fahim has a very strong academic background and has presented his research findings at international respiratory meetings on a regular basis and is an author of a number of review articles and numerous scientific papers in prestigious peer reviewed respiratory journals. Dr Fahim has been involved in a number of clinical trials relating to Respiratory diseases. During the specialist training, Dr Fahim evaluated the pathogenesis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) as part of higher research degree. His main research interests are interstitial lung disease, COPD and Chronic Cough.
