Many of the Health Assessments we perform include a comprehensive blood test. The luxury of our on-site pathology lab means that we're able to get most of the results back to you within your health assessment, giving you peace of mind before you leave.

We offer many different services here at Nuffield Health, but you know your body better than anyone. If there is something that you're worried about, we may be able to run some additional tests for you.

We can perform over 1000 tests. Here are some of our most requested ones:

Fatigue

This condition affects around 6% of the UK population. It’s associated with general weakness, difficulty with activities, and problems with concentration, memory, and emotional stability. Our blood tests will look at several markers to help identify any underlying problems and work with you to address these areas of concern to improve your wellbeing for the long term.

Allergy

Allergies affect around 30% of all people at some point in their lives. It is caused by an exaggerated response from the immune system that can cause a range of symptoms. The blood test detects levels of IgE antibodies specific to an allergen, these allergens can range from foods, pollens, or environmental factors.

Gluten sensitivity

Celiac disease is a condition that impairs your body’s ability to break down certain foods that contain a protein called “gluten”. The gluten damages the small intestines and can lead to difficulty in absorbing nutrients.

Symptoms include abdominal cramps and pains, diarrhoea, weight loss, feeling bloated as well as itchy skin or invisible symptoms.

Although celiac disease cannot be cured, a blood test can detect antibodies that are present in people who suffer from this condition. It's very important to continue to a normal diet before the test, as once on a gluten-free diet these antibodies disappear and can delay the diagnosis.

We believe that having a blood test should be hassle-free, so if you book an appointment with us, we don’t waste any time getting the results back to you. In most cases, we'll give you your results while you're at the clinic. If there is a short wait, our dedicated team will contact you as soon as the results are available.
