Purchase blood tests

How it works

1. Pay for your test online

Simply pick the test you need, and choose a preferred Nuffield Health Hospital location and appointment time. Once you've paid, we'll send you an email confirmation and receipt.

A member of the Pathology Direct team will contact you to discuss your appointment options and confirm your booking. Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays will be confirmed on the next working day.

2. Attend your appointment

Your appointment will be carried out by an experienced phlebotomist (a specialist in taking blood samples) and will usually take around 15 minutes.

The phlebotomist will take a sample of your blood – you can watch this video of the blood test procedure to see how it's done.

Your blood sample will then be sent to one of our laboratories for analysis.

3. Get your results

Your results will be sent to you by your preferred method (post or email) as soon as they're available. Turnaround times may vary depending on the tests selected – a member of the team will be able to discuss this with you.

We don't provide interpretation of your blood test results, so it's important you take your results to a healthcare professional to review them.
