Experience
His postgraduate surgical training was carried out in London on the North West Thames Specialist registrar training programme, including working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital, both being internationally renowned Teaching Hospitals.
At the end of his training, he carried out speciality fellowship training in Complex Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Royal National Hospital, Stanmore, under the supervision of Mr John Angel and Mr Dishan Singh.
The RNOH is a world famous centre of excellence for Complex Orthopaedic Surgery. He gained vast experience in treating all forms of complex foot and ankle conditions with patients being referred from hospitals around the country, as well as internationally.
He was appointed to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital in 2004 as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in complex foot and ankle surgery.
Mr Taylor's current practice is almost exclusively related to conditions of the foot and ankle.This includes the management of complex trauma of the foot and ankle,as well as treating high level athletes and professional sportsmen and women.
Research
Mr Taylor is activley involved in research into the latest advances in foot and ankle surgery. This includes new techniques in bunion surgery, ankle replacement, foot and ankle trauma techniques and new techniques for the management of arthritis. He has had work published in international medical journals and presented at national and international conferences on foot and ankle surgery.
