What are the benefits of Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is relevant for all individuals, from those looking for general support to enhance their health and wellbeing to those with chronic conditions. A Nutritional Therapist at Nuffield Health will consider each individual to be unique and recommend a personalised nutrition programme to suit their needs. They will assess the underlying causes of symptoms and look at how different systems in the body may be contributing to a health issue.
This enables our Therapists to work with individuals to address nutritional balance, understanding each person's health goals, lifestyle demands and medical conditions to support the body towards regaining or maintaining health.
Practitioners never recommend Nutritional Therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client’s care to explain any Nutritional Therapy programme that has been provided.
What happens once I have paid for my Nutritional Therapy online?
You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase, containing the details of your online purchase. A Nuffield Health team member will contact you by phone or email within 24 hours to book you in for your session.
Where can I book Nutritional Therapy?
You can purchase and book at any Nuffield Health gym where Nutritional Therapists are based.
What if I don’t live near a clinic or centre that has a Nuffield Health Nutritional Therapist?
Skype or phone consultations are available if you cannot make an appointment in person at any of our Fitness & Wellbeing Centres where Nutritional Therapists are based. You will need to request a remote consultation when booking your appointment, informing the booking team that you would like a telephone consultation and confirming the phone number or Skype name you wish to be contacted on.
Who carries out Nutritional Therapy?
Our Nutritional Therapists run the sessions. They are all:
- Qualified professionals and under the professional body of the British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT).
- Experts in Nutrition.
- Trained to a high level.
- Approachable, knowledgeable and supportive.
Is there a cap on the maximum number of sessions I can have?
No, you are free to have as many sessions with our Nutritional Therapists as you want.
How long is a Nutritional Therapy session?
Nutritional Therapy sessions may vary in time. Please refer to the product description online.
Can I cancel Nutritional Therapy purchased online?
If you need to cancel or rearrange for any reason, then please give us 24 hours’ notice, otherwise, there may be a cancellation fee of 50% of your consultation price.
Can I amend or change the time of my Nutritional Therapy sessions?
Yes, contact the Nuffield Health team on 0370 218 4510 or contact the gym where you have booked the session.
Can I change my preferred Nutritional Therapist?
Yes, you may change therapist by contacting the Nuffield Health team at 0370 218 4510.
When do my sessions expire?
You have 90 days to use the sessions you have purchased. If you have any specific requirements speak to your Nutritional Therapist. The 90 days starts from the date the package was purchased.
What do I need to do prior to the appointment?
Prior to the consultation, you will be sent a pre-questionnaire (which you will need to fill out and email back to the Nutritional Therapist), a map of how to get there if you are having a face-to-face appointment, and information about the assessment.
