The Pole Studio at Nuffield Health Leatherhead

Our REPs approved instructors run a dedicated pole studio within the Fitness & Wellbeing Centre in Leatherhead for pole dancing beginners through to a more advanced poler so whether you are looking to have fun with your friends or want to improve your pole skills, we have a class for you.

If you are looking for a workout that will target your whole body then Pole Fitness is for you. At Nuffield Health Leatherhead we run classes from Level 1 through to Level 5. Regardless of age, size or fitness level we'll get you perfecting your moves and help you get stronger.

Whether your goal is to lose weight, increase your flexibility or just build your core strength, stamina and fitness pole dancing will help you achieve your goals and what's more, you'll have fun doing it. Each lesson consists of a warm up, series of dance moves, spins, poses and transitions around and on the pole then a cool down.

We have 4 poles and operate a 2 person maximum per pole.

Classes are available for members and non-members!

Level 1

We offer a beginners course which runs for 6 weeks and takes you through to Level 2. The basics of pole fitness are introduced during Level 1 including transitions, floor work, basic spins and basic tricks. You will be taught a mini routine during your first class which will be built upon each week.

The aim of Level 1 is to build your confidence on and around the pole. Pole fitness is all about having fun and getting fit so we encourage you to just 'go for it' - remember every poler has had to start from the beginning so don't be shy, we've all been there.

Once you have mastered the basics in Level 1 you can move up to Level 2 or if you prefer to stay at Level 1 then you are welcome to come back for top-up refresher 1-2-1 lessons.

Level 2

Level 2 teaches you more demanding spins, transitions, dance moves and tricks. You will also be introduced to the first steps of inverting (going upside down) and conditioning techniques to aid your strength and fitness.

Level 2 will allow lots of recap work, as well as a brand new, longer, more difficult routine throughout.

Level 3

Once you have reached Level 3 you will be stronger and fitter so you will be learning more challenging moves, spins, inverts and holds. At this intermediate level all the moves take a little longer to master so expect for the classes to move a little slower than Level 1 and 2, but don't worry we'll help you achieve the more complex moves ready for Level 4.

In order to join a Level 3 class, you must had had some pole fitness experience and be able to do basic spins, pole stand/sit and basic invert. 

  • Level 3 - Wednesday at 20:15
  • £15 per person, per hour

Level 4

Our Level 4 classes incorporate harder tricks, inverts spins and holds. You will learn small complex combos to help build your strength endurance. The moves in this level require greater strength than the previous levels and take longer to perfect. Once you have reached this stage you will be mastering moves you necer thought possible!

  • Level 4 - Wednesday at 19:15
  • £15 per person, per hour

Level 5

Level 5 is designed for a hardcore poler, one who has passed all of the previous levels. You will noe have a high level of fitness, strength and endurance. Level 5 brings in flips, drops, the latest moves developed by some of the greatest polers around the world and harder conditioning along with flexibility training and tips.
