About
David Thomas is originally from South Wales, he is currently Professor of Oral Surgery at the School of Dentistry and the University Hospital of Wales. Having qualified in Cardiff, where he undertook his Masters degree, he was awarded a Wellcome clinical research fellowship to work in Bristol and complete his PhD, before returning to Cardiff to complete his higher specialist training in 1997.
Other interests
His clinical interests include Oral Surgery (under local anaesthesia, sedation or general anaesthesia) and implantology (including bone and soft-tissue grafting).
