Marianne has worked in both the NHS and private practice for many years. She trained at St Michaels Hospital in Bristol, qualifying in 2000. For many years she worked as a senior audiologist for North Bristol Trust. Together with an ENT consultant she set up the Bone Anchored Hearing aid program for the west of England. She was part of the young adult team seeing patients transferring from the paediatric audiology service to the adult service. She has extensive experience in fitting and assessing patients suitability to digital hearing aids within the NHS.
Marianne worked has been in private practice since 2002 seeing both adults and children referred to her by ENT consultants for hearing assessments as well as adults referred for tinnitus retraining therapy.
Since 2008 she assessed patients for Medico Legal clients and has recently taken a position working with a company that specialises in noise induced hearing loss.

Since working on medico legal cases for industrial deafness Marianne has taken an interest in looking at the effects of NIHL and the difference between a hearing loss caused by industrial noise and that of shooting or a one off loud noise experience or acoustic shock syndrome.
