About
Mr. Gore is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. He is an NHS consultant in the Oxford University Hospitals and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Lymphology Society (BLS).
Following medical training at Cambridge University, Mr. Gore trained in Plastic Surgery in Sydney, London & East Anglia. Thereafter he completed national and international specialist fellowships in breast surgery, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, microsurgery, supermicrosurgery for lymphoedema, head & neck surgery and cosmetic surgery (London, Japan, Australia, USA) including the prestigious Johnson & Johnson Aesthetic Surgery fellowship. He has published research articles in these areas and as well as a masters degree (MD) in skin cancer, he has completed postgraduate diplomas in aesthetic surgery and medical education. He maintains his passion for contemporary best practice by regularly visiting and liaising with world class surgical colleagues in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.

Mr. Gore has a specific interest in surgery under sedation and local anaesthesia and many of the procedures above can be carried out without general anaesthesia. Suitability for this approach and/or for day case treatment can be discussed at a consultation.

Other interests
His broad NHS practice based in Oxford and Reading has a particular specialist focus on scar management, skin cancer (including nose reconstruction, eyelid surgery and sentinel node biopsy for melanoma), Head & Neck surgery, facial palsy, abdominal wall reconstruction and breast surgery. He contributes to regional MDT management of skin cancer, head & neck cancer and facial palsy.

Research
Mr. Gore has published over twenty peer-reviewed research articles spanning the breadth of his cosmetic and reconstructive practice. His current research interests include the role of sentinel node biopsy in melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer, functional outcomes in complex H&N reconstruction and aesthetic outcomes in reconstructive rhinoplasty.
