Mr Makho Mlotshwa trained with the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa between 2001 and 2005 obtaining a fellowship in general surgery.
He further trained in the UK obtaining a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015. He trained in general, gastrointestinal and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.
He spent a further year in Fellowship training in Bariatric (weight loss) and metabolic surgery with Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. A hospital which is accredited by the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic disorders as a centre of excellence. He is a full- time consultant surgeon in the NHS offering both emergency and elective work in general, gastrointestinal and weight loss surgery.
