Due to the rapidly changing nature of vascular surgery he tailored his surgical training to encompass minimally invasive endotherapies as well as open approaches to vascular disease. He treats varicose veins with Endovenous Laser Ablation, Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation and Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerothaerpy.
As these new techniques require good ultrasound scanning skills he has also completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Vascular Ultrasound. He also performs injection microsclerotherapy for thread veins and manages arterial disease with both open and minimally invasive techniques.
- Fellow Royal College of Surgeons
He has published a number of original research papers, two surgical text-books and a number of chapters in other surgical textbooks.
