Mr Sue-Ling is a consultant general surgeon having qualified and trained in surgery in Leeds, Leicester, Cardiff and Japan. Mr Sue-Ling's main clinical interests are in the treatment of gastrointestinal disease, particularly the radical surgical treatment of gastric and oesophageal cancer, where he is recognised as a national and international expert. He also has an interest in endoscopic and colonoscopic techniques as well as laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Sue-Ling also has a keen interest in surgical training and was voted the “Best Surgical Trainer of the Year in the UK” in 2001. He was presented with the Silver Scalpel Award by Professor Liam Donaldson for his outstanding contribution to surgical training.

Mr Sue-Ling is married with three children and in his spare time he enjoys travelling with his family, playing tennis, swimming and fell walking.
