Mr Francis Dix qualified from the Middlesex Hospital, London with a BSC in anatomy (1989) and an MBBS (1992). He did his basic surgical training in the South West and his higher surgical training in the North West. He passed his FRCS (London) in 1997. He did an MD in venous disease at the University of Manchester (2005) and his part III FRCS in 2005 with a vascular specialty. He gained his CCST in November 2006. In October 2007 he was appointed to Plymouth Hospitals as a Vascular Surgeon.
He deals with all forms of vascular disease but has particular interests in endovascular techniques, venous disease, varicose vein treatment and rib resection.
