Bashar Zeidan graduated in 2003 and completed his surgical training in Wessex in 2018. He worked with world-renowned breast and plastic surgeons over the past 15 years, was awarded a PhD for his research focussing on breast cancer, and undertook a National TIG Breast Oncoplastic Fellowship before qualifying as an oncoplastic breast surgeon.
He worked as a Clinical Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Southampton between 2013-2017.
Mr Zeidan is experienced in the management of all aspects of breast disease, particularly in the restoration of shape and form following breast surgery, breast reconstruction after cancer surgery and breast cosmesis.
His practice offers advanced breast conservation techniques including partial breast reconstruction using therapeutic mammoplasties, local perforator and mini latissimus dorsi flaps.
He also specialises in a wide range of whole breast reconstruction by means of implant-based, autologous and hybrid techniques.
Mr Zeidan’s main interest and
expertise is in a full range of partial and complete breast reconstruction
- risk reducing surgery
- symmetrisation surgery (breast reduction, mastopexy and revisional breast surgery).
Beyond the operating theatre Bashar has always been passionate about football and music.
As an active member of the medical league he has a long history of teaching and has published several papers and contributed to various books. Mr Zeidan is actively involved in national research collaboratives and is interested in pioneering research to improve patients’ care and outcomes.
