Dr Rehan Khan is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a specialist interest in Maternal Medicine at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals, and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Women’s Health at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
A London-trained specialist, Rehan helps women with a variety of general gynaecological problems such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts and menopause/HRT. He is an experienced gynaecological surgeon and offers treatments such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and fibroid surgery. Rehan’s special expertise in pre-conception care enables him to help women optimise their health before pregnancy. He treats and supports couples after pregnancy loss, including specialist care following miscarriage and stillbirth. He is trained in psychosexual medicine and helps couples experiencing difficulties in this area using a sensitive and patient centred approach.
Rehan is London’s first ever Regional Clinical Director for Gynaecology. He chairs the Barts Health Women and Newborn Clinical Board, along with the North East London Maternal Medicine Network. A lifelong teacher and trainer, he is Dean for Education at Barts Health, and has held numerous national education roles. He was awarded the RCOG National Trainer of the Year prize in 2016.
