Mrs Raji Aravindan

Mrs Raji Aravindan is an experienced Gynaecologist at Leicester Royal Infirmary with a private practice at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital. 

Mrs Aravindan is the Lead Gynaecologist for emergencies at Leicester Royal Infirmary. She qualified in 1992 and commenced training as a General Surgeon before moving into Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  She qualified as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1997 and having completed specialist training at the Birmingham Women's Hospital, she was appointed Consultant Gynaecologist at Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2004.

Her specialist training includes obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound, colposcopy, family planning and hormone replacement therapy among menstrual disorders, early pregnancy care, recurrent miscarriage, pelvic floor repair and psychosexual counselling.

Mrs Aravindan provides outpatient clinic services for gynaecology and pregnancy ultrasound scanning and inpatient gynaecological day case procedures and major surgeries.

The comprehensive range of services provided by Mrs Aravindan includes early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound, early pregnancy care, care of miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies, menstrual disorders/period problems, pelvic pain - acute and chronic, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cysts and adhesiolysis, family planning procedures - contraception, sterilisation, Implants and coils, polypectomy, curettage and endometrial ablation, fertility control counselling, labial repair and reconstruction, utero vaginal prolapse and perineal repair surgeries, myomectomy and abdominal hysterectomies and oophorectomies.
