I completed my first degree in Biomedical Science (BSc Hons) in Newcastle, before going onto study medicine at Hull York Medical School in Yorkshire. After qualifying as a doctor, I returned to Newcastle, where I completed my foundation and specialist training across hospitals and practices in Gateshead and Northumberland.
From day one of medical school, my sole intention was to become a general practitioner; to be able to offer the best possible care to my patients, from newborns to the elderly. I achieved my MRCGP qualification in 2015.
My main interests are in mental health, sexual/reproductive health and dermatology/minor surgical procedures.
I currently work as a GP in a busy 3 site practice in Sunderland, in a Gateshead practice offering ‘hub’ appointments, as well as working as a GP in the Emergency Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead.
