All you need to know about your Surgery Pre-Assessment
Prior to surgery, we always pre-assess patients to ensure you are completely able to undertake your operation. We will arrange a convenient time for your pre-assessment appointment, which usually takes around an hour and is run by one of our team of four nurses.
The nurse will take you through a range of questions and standard tests which will help us build a picture of you and your health profile and preferences. If for any reason we think you should not undertake surgery at this time, we will of course inform you and look to reschedule where appropriate.
We have a highly rated ward team of nurses, theatre staff, housekeepers and catering personnel. They are all keen to ensure you have a safe and pleasant stay with us.
We may ask you to fill in a patient feedback questionnaire at the end so we can find out how we’ve done and act on anything we need to improve.
