How can I help you improve your health?

Through my varied lived experience of loving sport since childhood from training as a PT to rehabbing after surgery to running marathons and playing rugby from a young age, I have gained valuable knowledge and a deepened appreciation for healthiness as a whole. Some battles aren’t always physical; the gym can be a daunting place for some and I want to be a friendly face to what “healthy” looks like for you.

My training style:
I’m not a “one size fits all” kinda guy - what some people love in the gym others loathe. I’ll work with you to achieve your goals in ways that work best for you. I’m no drill sergeant - negativity has no place in my training style - think of me as your personal cheerleader. Working out can be tough but that doesn’t mean it can’t be enjoyable.

How can I help you improve your health?

Hi, my name is Kyle, I'm a Strength and Conditioning Coach. After taking the leap across the Irish Sea, I've taken the role of wellbeing personal trainer here in Nuffield. I think sports performance training and everyday training have more similarities than differences. If you think of everyday life as your sport. What you do in the gym should mirror you trying to improve your performance in everyday life whether that be making your walks around hilly Sheffield a little easier or getting more enjoyment out of running around with your kids/ grandkids in the park.

My Training Style / What I value as a Personal Trainer: Getting Strong and Consistency.

  • Getting strong has multiple benefits:
  • Improve your everyday function (Carrying in the groceries)
  • Increase bone strength (reducing the risk of osteoporosis)
  • Enhance your sports performance (Improve your performance on your park run / Golf Swing)
  • Help fight the loss of muscle mass
  • Reduce the risk of and improve the life of someone with a chronic disease

How can I help you improve your health?

I am a registered nutritionist as well as a PT and I'm passionate about working with both modalities to improve health and wellbeing.

I'd never been 'into fitness' before my late 30's, but now having studied and applied what I've learned to my own life I know that health transformations are possible!  Overcoming some of my own barriers has made me realise that there's something for everyone in fitness. With tailored support we can all achieve the best possible version of ourselves.

My training style is positive and personalised. We will agree a programme that is relevant to you: taking into account your likes, dislikes, needs and lifestyle factors. We will define clear goals and work towards them in a way which is sustainable and enjoyable for you: enjoying the journey is key to your success!

How can I help you improve your health?

I can help teach you about different modalities of training and help find what suits you best as well as helping develop your confidence in the weight room. I can also help with the one of the more underappreciated side of health and fitness in your mentality and how to adapt your mind-set to improve your health. I like to describe my training style as purposeful and educational. I strongly disagree with doing something for the sake of it and that especially when it comes to training, everything has a purpose and a reason, and I am more than happy to explain. Lastly, I truly believe that small, repeated meaningful actions make for strong lasting effects and victories.

How can I help you improve your health?

Having completed a degree in physiotherapy, I have witnessed and helped many individuals improve their quality of life and health through exercise and advice. I am now merging this knowledge with personal experiences to promote that fitness is for everyone and can be useful when not only used as a recovery but in a preventative manner. I understand how daunting entering a gym can be and together we can prove everyone has a place here at Nuffield.

My style consists of a range from cardio to weight training to stability and workout. Having a background in physiotherapy then allows me to combine all these fitness components into personalised programme no matter if you are recovering from injury or wanting to reach specific fitness goals.
