About
Mr Yatin Thakur is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital and specialises in gynaecological services including menstrual problems, gynae ultrasonography, minimal access surgery, urinary incontinence and prolapse surgery, colposcopy laparoscopy and hysteroscopic surgery.
Mr Thakur is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist based at Basildon University Hospital, Mid Essex & South Essex University Hospitals Group. He has extensive experience more than twenty years in the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Mumbai (India) and UK. He completed his specialist gynaecological training rotation in the London Deanery and was appointed as a consultant at Basildon University Hospital in 2006.
Mr Thakur has expertise in the area of female urinary incontinence and uterine (womb) and vaginal prolapse. He has carried out research into various surgical management of vaginal prolapse. He has also acquired specialist skills in ultrasonography, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and colposcopy.
Mr Thakur offers various gynecological services to his patients including womb preservation surgeries for vaginal prolapse and keyhole surgery for removal womb for abnormal vaginal bleeding.
Mr Thakur is a mentor for junior doctors and colleagues for various surgical procedures in gynaecology. He has also organised various national and international training workshops.
