About
Mr Nargol was appointed as a lower limb joint replacement surgeon in February 2002 and trained in the Northern region after qualifying at Newcastle University.
He specialises in revision of hips as well as being one of the first surgeons in the UK to offer the Male and Female Knee replacement. He is also Clinical Lead for lower limb at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trusts. In 2011 he appeared on C4 documentary 'Dispatches' and BBC's The One Show talking about developments and research into ASR (metal-on-metal) recalls. Regionally, Mr Nargol has gained recognition on BBC's 'Look North'.
He has performed over 1200 hip replacement operations in recent years and also performs revision surgery. He has helped to develop a blood test which is used to detect problems with hip replacements at an early stage.
Mr Nargol firmly believes in offering treatments to allow patients to return to the jobs and sports they enjoy and that a young age should not stop a patient getting the best treatment.

Mr Nargol took two trips to America in 2010 to present his work, including four lectures at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
Along with his research team, he has picked up numerous awards at the British Hip Society, British Orthopaedic Association and London Hip Meeting for research into hip problems.
