About
Mr Stuart Robertson is a Consultant Breast Surgeon, specialising in Oncoplastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Breast Surgery. His NHS practice is based at the local University teaching hospital, University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He consults privately at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital in Leamington Spa. He is a kind, friendly, caring doctor, who is passionate about offering first class breast care.
Mr Robertson specialises in all aspects of breast disease and management, including oncoplastic surgery for breast cancer, and cosmetic breast surgery to alter the appearance, size or shape of the breasts (such as breast reduction, breast augmentation, breast lift, nipple surgery). He is also a fully trained general surgeon, able to remove skin lumps (such as lipomas and skin cysts).
Following qualification at The University of Edinburgh, he was trained in the main teaching hospitals of Edinburgh, Oxford and Hampshire. He was awarded an MD for his research at the Nuffield Department of Surgery in Oxford, which won two international prizes. At the end of his training, he also won a prestigious National Oncoplastic and Reconstruction Fellowship, providing highly specialised additional training in the very latest state-of-the-art breast and plastic surgery techniques.

Research
Evidence now clearly indicates that the best medical outcomes are achieved in centres which engage in research.
Mr Robertson's MD research investigated the field of regenerative medicine, where replacement tissue is grown to reverse previously incurable or chronic diseases. His research at Oxford into reversing diabetes won two international prizes.
His current breast research interests are in optimising outcomes after mastectomy and reconstruction. He won a prize from the Association of Breast Surgery for a scientific paper on Risk Reducing Mastectomy and Reconstruction. He participates in national multicentre trials and audits to continually improve breast cancer care.
