About
Mr Senthil Selvanathan is a Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon at Leeds who specialises in complex cervical spine surgery. He completed his neurosurgical specialist training programme at Leeds General Infirmary and was successful in securing the prestigious Leeds national spine fellowship scheme enabling him to complete sub-speciality training in complex spinal surgery.
Mr Selvanathan is a current National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) grant co-holder (£1 million) and a joint Chief Investigator for the FORVAD Trial. The trial aims to compare effectiveness of the two common cervical spine (neck) operations used to treat brachialgia (FORVAD Trial- www.forvad.uk). This work is done with close collaboration with Leeds Clinical Trials Unit.
