.Nigel Hall trained in Oxford, London, Yorkshire and Minnesota. He has been a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital for 24 years. He has a wide experience of colorectal and general surgery. He is a nominated colonoscopist for the National Bowel Cancer Screening programme. He has an interest in hernias of all types and can offer laparoscopic and open approaches as appropriate.

Nigel Hall wrote his thesis on molecular genetics and epidemiology of hereditary colorectal cancer. He continues to have an interest in this and in screening for bowel cancer. Other interests include diverticular disease, haemorrhoids, colorectal cancer, and laparoscopic surgery.
