About
Mr Goldstraw is a consultant urological surgeon at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. He has completed a two-year fellowship in robotic prostate surgery in Brisbane, Australia and at University College London.
His specialist areas of interest include benign and malignant conditions of the prostate and in particular robotic surgery. He has logbook experience of over 500 robotic radical prostatectomies. He has a particular interest in the prostate diagnostics pathway of men with a raised PSA and has recently written the local NHS guidelines for 2016. He completed 6 years of urology specialty training in London and is competent in all general urological conditions including the treatment of urinary stones.
Academically, he has published extensively with over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and six book chapters. He has completed an MD thesis with Imperial College in prostate cancer which was awarded the British Urological Foundation (BUF) Scholarship.
