About
Mr. Midhat Siddiqui is a senior Consultant Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon at the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. He qualified from the University of Bristol and trained in the UK and abroad. Mr Siddiqui has extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery and performs gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and insertion of gastric balloons using keyhole techniques. He also undertakes revisional surgery and offers solutions to patients who have experienced weight regain following Bariatric Surgery. He is considered an expert in the management of reflux and undertakes a range of General Surgical procedures that include Gall bladder, Anti reflux and Hernia Surgery.
He has an established NHS and Private practice in Bariatric and Gastrointestinal Surgery in SE London and Kent.
To date he has undertaken more than 3,500+ laparoscopic procedures and is a well-recognised trainer in advanced Upper GI laparoscopic surgery in England.
Featured in the Tatler Good Doctors Guide 2013 as one of the leading Surgeons in private practice in the UK.
He trains other medics in the UK and overseas in laparoscopic surgery and cites his strength as “not just doing the operation, but making sure patients are then well looked after.”
