About

Mr Madhu Tiruveedhula is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital specialising in Paediatric Orthopaedics, complex foot and ankle surgery in children and adults, and diabetic foot reconstruction. In addition, his specialist interests include:  Limb alignment surgeries, ankle and knee ligament reconstructions, keyhole surgery to ankle and knee, correction of bunion, reconstruction of flat feet in children and adults, and treatment of fractures.

Mr Tiruveedhula completed his Specialist Registrar training from Yorkshire Deanery followed by Fellowships at RNOH, Stanmore, Southampton General Hospital and Guy’s Hospital, London. He worked as Locum Paediatric Orthopaedic consultant at Evelina Children Hospital, part of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital before his substantive appointment.

Mr Tiruveedhula has vast experience in managing complex foot and ankle deformities in children and adults and provides tertiary services in the region. He is internationally renowned for managing diabetic foot conditions and regularly lectures on techniques of diabetic foot reconstructions. Mr Tiruveedhula uses latest ligament reconstructive techniques for ankle and knee which facilitates early rehabilitation and return to pre-injury activities. He uses key-hole surgical techniques in managing painful conditions of ankle and knee in all age groups including arthroscopic assisted ligament reconstructions. He also has specialist interest in limb alignment surgery and uses internal and external fixation techniques. His patients’ reported outcome scores reflect his success.  

Mr Tiruveedhula is a keen teacher and is a medical school examiner and postgraduate trainer. He published a book chapter and 10 papers in peer reviewed journals and is commended for his educational activities and dedication towards his patients.
