About
Mr Usifo is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. He also holds an honorary consultant post in Gynaecology with the Queens Hospital Romford, a BSGE recognised endometriosis centre.
Prior to joining the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals in 2016, he worked at several other hospitals in both Scotland and England as a consultant Gynecologist.
He trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the London deanery and obtained advanced skills and training experience in the management of complex benign gynaecological conditions, endometriosis, pelvic pain menstrual disorders and uterine fibroids.
His main specialist interest is in minimal access (laparoscopic / key-hole) surgery for treatment of endometriosis, pelvic pain and complex gynaecological conditions. He undertakes laparoscopic total and subtotal hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy, and advanced hysteroscopic surgery for uterine fibroid, polyps and uterine adhesions and endometrial ablation treatments for heavy menstrual bleeding. He also undertakes outpatient Hysteroscopy; diagnostic and treatment procedures.
Mr Usifo is also trained in gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound scanning and cervical pathology screening and colposcopy.
He is an accredited BSCCP colposcopist.

Mr Usifo’s main specialist interests include: endometriosis and pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, menstrual disorders, post-menopausal bleeding, ovarian cyst and cervical pathologies and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
