About
Chet Modi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He specialises in the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions.
He completed his medical training at Manchester Medical School and surgical training locally on the Warwick Orthopaedic Rotation based at University Hospital, Coventry. In order to gain further expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery he completed extensive fellowship training in Toronto, Exeter and Derby and a travelling fellowship, sponsored by the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, visiting world experts in the USA at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Rush University in Chicago prior to commencing his Consultant post.
Mr Modi has extensive experience in the latest arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques in the treatment of sports-related injuries, rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, arthritis and elbow stiffness to enable accelerated rehabilitation and early return to activities. He also regularly treats painful arthritic conditions requiring joint replacement, including reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.
Mr Modi takes great pride in providing an exceptionally caring and individualised service for all of his patients. Above all, he ensures that they have a full understanding of their conditions and potential treatment options so that they are able to make shared and fully informed decisions about their treatment.
Mr Modi sees both adults and young people, aged 13 to 18 years, in clinic.

Chet Modi’s main interests away from work are playing squash and football, long distance running and spending time with his family. He is married to a General Practitioner and has two children.
