Hip Replacement Surgery Patient Testimonials

March 2021 "Wonderful experience with Nuffield Health. Mr Anwar Jafri was an excellent surgeon, and the staff were always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I choose Nuffield Health for my procedure."

February 2021 "From first consultation with Mr Jafri I was impressed by his gentle and re-assuring manner. He gave me the time to ask my questions and at no point did I feel rushed or pressured. He presented a balanced overview of what I could expect from the total hip replacement surgery. Whilst in hospital following my surgery Mr Jafri came to see me on four occasions over the two day period. He was very caring, positive, attentive and re-assuring. During the two face to face outpatient appointments and the one telephone appointment since my surgery Mr Jafri was again re-assuring and demonstrated genuine interest in my progress. In summary, I feel that Mr Jafri enabled me to feel safe and secure about my surgery. I am so very pleased that I have had my total hip replacement. I have now got my lifestyle back and am able to enjoy my new found fitness. Thank you so much Mr Jafri."

December 2020 "Mr Jafri provided me with information on the procedure very clearly and expectations were accurate. Having surgery is worrying however Mr Jafri put me at ease throughout and I am now on the road to recovery. Before surgery I struggled to walk about and was always in pain. I would like to thank Mr Jafri for all of his support and for providing me with a better quality of life!"

February 2020 "I was terrified of having the hip replacement operation as I had never been in hospital before. Mr Jafri's team were brilliant, reassuring me right up to the time of my operation. Really don't know why I was worried, the operation went well and the aftercare was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was very helpful and answered all my questions, again reassuring me. I left with all the medication I needed and appointments for all my checkups for the next month. The operation has made a massive difference to my life, I am no longer in pain and can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever done. I cannot thank the team and the hospital enough."

Knee Replacement Surgery Patient Testimonials

May 2023 "I'm 7 weeks into recovery from my total knee replacement - Mr Jafri done mine. All of the staff, clinical and admin are praiseworthy"

February 2022

"Every time I met with Mr Jafri prior to surgery I felt at ease, it was like he was someone I already knew. The day I came in for my knee replacement, from the minute I walked in, all the staff were so friendly and made me feel at ease. I thought I would be anxious, but the hospital has such a calming atmosphere, and I was so relaxed believe it or not. It didn’t feel like I was in hospital at all. I was a bit apprehensive about my knee replacement as people had shared horror stories with me over their own experiences, but I found the operation and the recovery okay. I had an allergic reaction to the steri-strips, but the aftercare was fantastic with the nurses and consultant regarding this. Vicky in physio was fantastic, I done everything she asked me to do, and it has really helped with my quick recovery. I really could not complain about one thing! The food was gorgeous, everyone I met at the hospital was like talking to my friends and I had always known them. My only thing in life I wanted back was being able to walk my dogs and I have gone from less than 1,000 steps a day to 8,000 – 10,000. Thank you, Mr Jafri, you are truly fantastic!"

April 2021 "Very easy to converse with and listens to your concerns and replies in language you can understand, explaining how he will deal with your problem."

March 2021 "I received excellent care from Mr Jafri during both my knee replacements. He was very professional and approachable I always felt I was in safe hands. Extremely good aftercare. He has enabled me to get on with the rest of my life pain free."

December 2020 "Mr Jafri made me feel at ease at the very beginning of the process. The operation was explained in layman's terms. The operation and after care has been excellent and would fully recommend the procedure with Mr Jafri. I can honestly say that it has changed my life for the better and Mr Jafri has been available if I have had any concerns. I have no pain, can walk on the moors for over 7 or 8 miles and suffer no problems."

November 2020 "Mr Jafri is always very clear and concise with his communications both pre and post surgery. I felt this was important to help the patient assess the risks and more importantly the benefits of knee replacement surgery. Very patient focused and the patient’s health and well being are very important to him. Technical expertise was first class and my operation and recovery could not have been better. Thanks Mr Jafri my operation was a huge success. I am more mobile now and more importantly pain free."

Arthroscopic Knee Surgery Patient Testimonials

August 2020 "My experience with Mr Jafri. I cannot speak more highly of him from meeting him the first time he was very friendly and listened to what I had to say. He told me everything regarding the surgery, including the pros and cons and what the success rate might be. If I was asked to mark out of 10 it would be 10+"
