Amongst the highly experienced surgeons he trained with are Professor Thomas (Limb Reconstruction) and Professor Richardson (Cartilage Regeneration techniques) as well as Mr Dai Rees (sports knee surgery) and Mr Richard Spencer Jones (Revision Hip and Knee surgery).

  • Fellowship in Limb Reconstruction at The Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Kurgan, Russia.

Mr Qureshi is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Southampton.  He is the postgraduate education lead for orthopaedics at UHS and gives invited lectures at scientific meetings internationally.   He has been the departmental clinical lead for medical students.

His teaching has won him the ‘Wessex Trainer of the Year’ awards in consecutive years, as well as a ‘Hospital Hero’ badge for the University Hospital Southampton. A number of articles have been published in the national press.

He keenly undertakes research and has completed fully funded trials including the use of stem cells (ABICUS trial) and novel electromagnetically driven osteotomy surgery (Ellipse HTO trial) for which he is the principle investigator.
