About
Mr Khunda graduated from Baghdad University in 1996 and passed MRCOG in 2002.
He completed his training in London and Yorkshire in 2007 certifying in urogynaecology and hysteroscopic surgery. He gained a consultant post in 2008 at James Cook University Hospital with special interest in Urogynaecolcogy .
Mr Khunda obtained a Diploma in Health research from Leeds University in 2011 and became a Fellow of the RCOG in 2014.
He runs an established tertiary level Neuromodulation service at South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust.
Regionally is Deputy lead for Reproductive Health Research in the North East and Cumbria LCR work.
Other interests
Special interests are in urogynaecology and minimal access surgery.
Personal interests
Charity work in Iraq. Mr Khunda visits once-twice yearly to deliver educational activities on behalf of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Research
Mr Khunda is a member of the research committee of the British Society of Urogynaecology and the chair of the Iraqi Liaison Group of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Has presented his work in international meetings and has published in peer reviewed journals.
Mr Khunda established portfolio research in Obstetrics and Benign Gynaecology at South Tees, has a team of two full time and three part time research nurses in the department.
On average the team produces two abstracts a year which are presented internationally and/or published in peer reviewed journals.
