About
She is a general gynaecologist with a special interest in minimal access surgery and endometriosis. She is able to provide a service for laparoscopic surgery encompassing the benefits of key hole surgery over open surgery.
She is experienced to perform laparoscopic procedures like adhesiolysis, ovarian cystectomy, oophorectomy, salpingectomy, removal of displaced intrauterine contraceptive device, drainage of pelvic abscess, excision of endometriosis and laparoscopic hysterectomy. She can also perform laparoscopic excision of endometriosis for moderate to severe cases.
She can perform diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy procedures. She is experienced to perform advanced hysteroscopic procedures including: resection of endometrium, resection of polyps and fibroids and resection of uterine septum. She is trained to perform first and second generation ablation techniques like Novasure and Thermal balloon endometrial ablation.
She can perform all routine benign gynaecological surgery with confidence. This includes both vaginal and abdominal surgery like hysterectomy, repair and laparotomy.
She is experienced and BSCCP accredited Colposcopist since 2005. She is up-to-date with HPV and test of cure guidelines and follows NHSCCP national guidelines.

She is actively involved in teaching and training. She is MRCOG part 2 examiner for Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She is honorary lecturer and clinical coordinator for Hull and York medical school students. She is also trained enhanced appraiser for doctors’ GMC revalidation at York Hospital.

She achieved MSc in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from University of Surrey in 2009.
