Dr Das is a Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist at Oxford University NHS foundation trust, appointed in 2006 and previous Clinical Lead for Paediatric Anaesthesia. He studied at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School, London and trained in anaesthesia in Wessex and Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.
He currently sits on the Education and Training committee of the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists (APAGBI), and became an elected member of Council for the APAGBI in 2020.
He is an education editor for the journal Pediatric Anesthesia. Dr Das helped establish the children’s facilities of the Nuffield Manor Hospital and is the Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee for the Manor. He is also a member of the National Medical Advisory Committee for Nuffield Health.
Special interests
His specialist interests are anaesthesia for paediatric craniofacial surgery, paediatric general surgery, adult plastic and ENT surgery.
