About
Dr Paul Cervi is a Consultant Haematologist at Nuffield Health Brentwood. Dr Cervi gained a first degree in Medicine in Dublin University in 1984 and trained to Registrar level until 1989. He then moved to the Specialist Training Programme in University College Hospital London.
Dr Cervi was appointed Consultant Haematologist in 1996 in Basildon Hospital, and transferred as Head of Haematology Dept to Southend Hospital in 2010. This remains his main employment. He received the National Bronze Merit Clinical Excellence award in 2009. He became Clinical Director for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services in Southend Hospital in 2015 and continued in this role until April 2018.
Dr Cervi has a broad experience in all things haematological, but his particular interests are in lymphoma and myeloma. He is a strong believer in listening to his patients, and advising treatments tailored to their needs. His research interests are in lymphoma, and he has a strong interest in developing biopsy devices - for bone marrow and lymph nodes.

Dr Cervi has a particular interest in Malignant Haematology - such as myeloma or lymphoma, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia, and myelodysplasia and also an interest in thrombosis management and general haematology.
