About

Dr Sedaghat has been working in the field of Neurophysiology since 1998. She obtained the Specialty Board Certificate in Electro-diagnostic Medicine in Iran and practiced as a Consultant in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.

Since 2005 she has been working at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) and received her CESR-CCT accreditation. She has gained years of experience in wide range of neurophysiological investigations. Dr Sedaghat provided Single Fiber Electromyography service for the first time at UHCW. 

She is active in teaching and introducing this amazing field to the senior and junior doctors in different specialties. She conducts audits and participates in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety activities within the Trust and the region.

Special interests

Diagnostic procedures for Peripheral Nervous System Disorders including: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Ulnar nerve entrapment neuropathy screening in addition to other less common entrapment neuropathies, peripheral neuropathy, mono-neuritis multiplex, radiculopathy, plexopathy, traumatic nerve injury, Neuromuscular junction disorder, myopathy, motor neuron disease and Multifocal motor neuropathy.

Interpretation of standard, sleep, ambulatory and video Electroencephalography (EEG) in adults and children.

Personal interests

Dr Sedaghat has always been a sporty person and goes to the gym regularly. She likes music, gardening and enjoys watching movies with her family.
